Greeks are discovering other cuisines around the world like Chinese or Indian cuisine . A lot of Chinese and Indian restaurants have opened in major cities of Greece .
The same time a lot of Greek restaurants are opening at China and India , Hong Kong and other places .
There are some commons in these cuisines but what it characterizes greek cuisine is the extensive use of olive oil , feta and grills.
Some dishes from Greece are a soup like the Hellenic Faki Broth or the Avgolemono .
The mezzes come in a wide range, many of which are seafood based. These include Marinated Squid Platter Prawn . There are veg dishes like Souvlaki (choice of chicken/ lamb chunks, skewered with bell pepper and onions grilled and served with zatziki; ) as well. and Vegetable Moussaka (sauteed eggplant layered with zucchini, scallions, tomatoes, carrots, green peppers and herbs baked with assorted cheese)
Though there are many delicious dips, an integral part of Greek food, the special ones include zatziki (shredded and pressed cucumber with garlic, yogurt and olive oil)
