The measures taken in connection with bird flu have been structured on three levels.
The first is the poultry and instructions of poultry breeders. They should not allow them out in order to prevent the contact with wild birds that are most often the bearers of the bird flu virus.
The second level deals with people hunting wild birds. They will be asked to limit their hunting or otherwise to deal with special teams that gather the shot birds in order to bring the risk to the minimum.
The third level is the so-called Artemis plan that comprises a specific action plan for the hospitals in Greece when people with bird flu symptoms appear for treatment, as well as instructing the veterinary medical services, Mr. Evstatious explained.
